I have read several comments on EURid's decision to lower the price of .eu names, some ironic, some skeptical or very skeptical.
Actually, this decision is nothing else than the application of the law. Pursuant to article 4 c) of EC Regulation 733/2002 on the implementation of the .eu Top Level Domain, "[t]he Registry shall ... impose fees directly related to costs incurred".

If that's the case, why didn't they launch with the lower price?
