Domain name registration is neutral

LegalBizNext reports a decision of the Paris Court of appeal, which says that registering a domain name is neutral in itself, and does not violate the rights of a third party.
But using this name, identical to a trade name, to redirect internet users towards its own website, is a violation of these rights, and the domain name user was found liable for this behaviour.
