When Warner Bros launched in 2001 a campaign against owners of domain names similar to the trademark Harry Potter, it stopped it when it began to be unpopular (see the archives of potterwar.org.uk).
Owen Rickards, living in UK, bought harry-potterfanclub.com at the age of 12, with his own money. He heard from WB in 2001, but not later. Now he is 15, and Warner strikes back! Which doesn't make him happy: "Officially and legally I own the domain name, though it is an infringement of their copyright. How it can be is beyond me" - yes, teens are really smart nowadays! -, ic Wales reports.
