US: A court of appeal rules against anti-abortion cybersquatter
The 8th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that Bill Purdy, an anti-abortion activist, violated trademark law by registering a lot of domain names, including drinkcoke.org, mycoca-cola.com, mymcdonalds.com, mypepsi.org, and my-washingtonpost.com. Purdy purchased those and other domains, and used them to point visitors to pro-life commentary and depictions of aborted and dismembered fetuses.
